To make your workplace greener, you use the same green principles and methods as you do at home. There are dozens of tips that you can apply to the workplace:
Set up a complete recycling system — for bottles, cans, photocopier cartridges, and plastic. Reuse anything that can be reused, such as CDs, and recycle the rest.

Change the air conditioning unit to fans which are quieter and use less energy. Direct them where the cooling power is needed rather than -educing the temperature of areas that don’t need it. Keep the blinds town when the sun is blazing through the windows.
Falk to your local authority about the recycling facilities it offers, over and above the domestic bottle and paper bins, and ask if there are any grants available for taking energy efficiency measures.

Using public transport such as trains and buses means that your journeys are responsible for fewer carbon emissions than using a car and flying is the most environmentally damaging way to travel. When you take into account the time for check-in, security checks, and collecting baggage you may find there’s little difference in terms of time taken out of the working day.
